Gem Butlers and Concierge

What iimmie described earlier is a completely different matter as when you already have a relationship like that with the staff, you don't need to post to a public forum asking who is working where, you simply ask the great butler/concierge directly - or even know without asking - both possible because of that personal relationship with them.

 

Ironic you said that because we spoke the other day and he let me know he was leaving on vacation soon so I won't see him next month when I am on the BA.

 

The only reason I had asked NCL about the GEM concierge is because I have not been on that ship since the weekenders ended and I wanted to know who do I speak to so I could set up the BBQ in the Villa. I do hope the casino staff remained the same as they were the sweetest group of people I have ever met.

I never said that they did something wrong by posting the question nor that they should not have done it. I just wanted to know the rationale behind the post, but unfortunately so far haven't got an answer that would help clearing the confusion.

 

 

Cant figure out how to do the quote thing, so I did copy n paste. I just wanted to say that I looked at this topic because "if" we did have a butler or concierge that was recommended and did a good job, its just one less thing I have to worry about. I am the one who convinced my whole family (16 of us) to go on this cruise, and spend the extra money for the suites. So if it happened that we might have been assigned a "just average" butler or concierge, I can adjust my family's expectations now and not have any disappointment later. Forewarned is forearmed is my thinking.

I'm sorry but I'm genuinely confused about questions like this. What difference does it make who the butlers are since your butler is already assigned based on your suite/location and you can't change that? Why would someone look out for a specific butler if that butler is not part of the team providing services that passenger?

 

To me this is the same as asking if anybody knew who the room stewards on a specific ship are. :D

 

If you have left NCL because you hate it SO MUCH, WHY are you still here chiming in ?

He was a little cranky yesterday.

 

Roy is a butler, from the Philippines, he's good but not no Arnie or Maxi.

 

I have to disagree, Ray is the best ,we are sorry to not have him on the Gem anymore! I guess we all of our favorites !

Just curious, but has Carlos left NCL or just moved to another ship?

 

We were told he is on the Sun ;). I was especially surprised to see Francesco on 3/12 because I JUST had dinner early December with Carlos - and he was talking about leaving for vacation at the end of the month & he'd be back mid-March!

 

Kevin - if you do get Jayson..tell him Christine from 10002 says hi!

I have never said that I hate NCL, that is your imagination talking.

 

I, however, have stated that I don't like what FDR is doing to NCL and dislike him personally because of his attitude and comments about us, paying customers.

I am sad that both Dan Dan and Carlos won't be on the Gem for my next cruise. I will just have an open mind and hopefully their replacements are good. If Jayson is the butler who was on the Gem a couple of years ago and then moved to the BA, he is excellent. I will cross my fingers that he will be our butler.

I've heard good things about Monica the Conciere

right now, I'm not sure when Francesco will be

back, he is on vacation , but people that have sailed

with him love him.

I don't even know who the CD is anymore, but I'm

sure he or she will do their best to make us all happy.

I will miss Roy and Zahid they are the best in our book.

We will hope to have a good Butler, but we are easy to

please, so I'm sure all will be well.

We are on the Gem with good friends, what else

can we possibly want right!

One more week and I'll find out who our butler is. I talked to our previous butler Arnie through FB and he is on the Escape. I reached out to Monica but nothing yet. Getting excited.

 

I also reached out to Monica, no response

as of yet. I'm thinking it has to be due

to the fact that she has enough to deal

with passengers on board, and really does

not have time for us who are not even

on board yet.

I contacted the pre concierge desk and they

helped me with everything I needed

4 weeks for us .... getting excited

What is the pre concierge desk? What do they do? How do I contact them if I want to find something out? Thanks....thats a new one for me.

Pre-Concierge arranges for things to be set up in one's suite, arranges dinner reservations 100 days out, etc. Their number is: 1-855-625-4283
