Cash and room card work in the slot machines.

Use of room card is like a cash withdraw, so 3% fee applies. It's your vacation, do what makes you happy. I generally played with cash, but one night we stopped in casino before I returned to room for cash. We downloaded from our card and had a blast, cost me about $1.50 for a really good time with my mother and I wouldn't trade it. If you have OBC you can even think of it as using some OBC to cover the fees.

Tournament prices will vary, but I recall $20 or so on the Getaway. The one winner we saw nabbed $500 and was thrilled.

Casino takes US Dollars in slot machines.

You can advance cash in your cabin card but there is a 3% service charge to do so.

Slot tournaments are $20 per round. Play in as many rounds as you want. Top 6 or 8 scores go to a final round to play for a small cash prize and wine for all players in the final round.

The Escape has the largest casino in the NCL fleet.

And if you do take cash out in the casino (for the 3% fee) it doesn't show up as a cash advance on your credit card. It just becomes part of the total $$ you charge during the cruise. (In case your credit card charges more interest for cash advances:rolleyes:)

So,if you use your NCL credit card you actually get 2% back on the advance.

The withdrawal is treated like a purchase on your stateroom bill so if your bill is paid with the NCL card that gives 2% back I expect that to apply to the full bill.

I believed NCL limits the amount you can withdraw per cruise so check NCL.com for details in the casinos at sea section.
