sandkps Posted April 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Hi All! We just booked an impromptu cruise next month and our only Port of Call will be Nassau since we're just doing a short 4 day sailing from Charleston. We've been to Nassau more times than we'd prefer, and normally don't even get off of the boat anymore. But since it's our only port this time, we'd like to do something with our kids (10 & 7), perhaps a fun excursion or a beach day, while there this time that does NOT include downtown Nassau. My children are both boys that enjoy being active, not so much museums and tours. They loved snorkeling in the still waters at Half Moon Cay and the Turtle Farm at Grand Cayman, but didn't like open water snorkeling in Cozumel. We've also done Sting Rays before. Any suggestions? Rare CruisinCrow Posted April 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2016 How about Blue Lagoon for a beach day or animal encounter? What hours are you in port?

Rare CruisinCrow Posted April 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2016 That's not so bad. Some ships leave at 2! You could do Blue Lagoon if you take the 2 o'clock ferry back. Here's more information: http://www.dolphinencounters.com/ It's a beautiful island and a nice change of pace if you've already been to Nassau a bunch of times. JennCandi Posted April 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2016 I agree with Blue Lagoon. We were there a few years ago and plan on going back again this year. Just the beach and the water toys for us.
