Working 2 cruise again Posted May 3, 2016 #51 Share Posted May 3, 2016 ewwwww....never leave your drink unattended anywhere, in a yeti or yak or whatever. Maybe the Yeti stole it back. Maybe he was tired of getting hit in the jewels when he played baseball. I really really wish there was a way to like comments on here.
drosphot Posted May 3, 2016 #52 Share Posted May 3, 2016 Laser engraving is available but you really need a GPS tracker embedded inside to get them back.
It's a Ship!!! Posted May 3, 2016 #53 Share Posted May 3, 2016 Oh yes. Must have the Yeti. When living in Florida heat there is nothing like the Yeti. The cups are great however, the Pelican cooler is the same as the Yeti only $100.00 cheaper and made in the USA. Yeti is not.. I'm pretty sure Yeti is made in Austin, TX. There's no question they are expensive, but they are amazing.
Viv0828 Posted May 3, 2016 #54 Share Posted May 3, 2016 Are they really better than the thermos containers? Ours keeps stuff cold for 24 + hours. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Sandy Sails Posted May 3, 2016 #55 Share Posted May 3, 2016 (edited) Sorry Nana, it looked so lonely just sitting there in the bathroom, I had to rescue it. But man, my butt has suddenly gotten HUGE! My shoes no longer fit, I don't smile anymore, I had to buy a wig and a razor. My bad. Edited May 3, 2016 by Sandy Sails

Rare LMaxwell Posted May 4, 2016 #58 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Between here and various FB groups I read more than a few posts of people stealing things on carnival ships. then on JH's page I read that no one ever locks anything up and they bash people for wanting larger safes (not that that directly applies here). I can't imagine stealing someone elses cup?!?? I read where someones WHEELCHAIR was stolen. Another about a baby stroller. What the heck?!? On all of the posts lately about stuff being stolen they all seem to have one thing in common .... all the "victims" LEFT the item somewhere like the public bathroom, a couch in a lounge or supposedly in the cabin upon leaving. No, people should NOT pick up things that don't belong to them but they didn't break into a cabin to do so ... they picked it up and kept walking. :(
Rare crewsweeper Posted May 4, 2016 #60 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Just for the folks that wonder why we love them so much, a cup of piping hot coffee poured at 8am will still be hot at noon... no, really, it will. I am sure it would keep cold drinks super cold a really long time too, just haven't tried it yet with mine. I'm sure its the reason the Yeti ice chests start around 300$ too. I get the same warmth from my Contigo at less than 1/2 the cost including shipping. As good as they are, Yeti stuff has way too high of prices for the value. But that's how it goes in the fad market, until the next best thing comes along, or real competitors emerge. Tevi mugs and glasses used to be priced higher too now you can find them and their equally good knockoffs everywhere at much lower costs.

Dearabby_84 Posted August 9, 2016 #63 Share Posted August 9, 2016 (edited) I plan on bringing my Yeti tumbler and husbands Yeti Cozy. We are big campers and they keep our drinks COLD! That's a good idea to label them! Does anyone have recommendations of where to get decals or labels for them? Want something that will stay on very well :) My sons Swell got grabbed on our last cruise, I'm thinking a label may have deterred them. It was sitting on a cabana chair with our towels, sunscreen and sunglasses, while I went up to get a drink. They only took the Swell!?! Not the Raybans sitting right beside it  Edited August 9, 2016 by Dearabby_84

elliair Posted August 9, 2016 #65 Share Posted August 9, 2016 To the "lady" who took my Yeti cup from the Casino restroom on the April 9 Carnival Freedom. Obviously you don't know about the curse inflicted on those who dare to steal a treasured Yeti. You will gain 40 pounds. (One for each $ I paid for the cup.) Your butt will double in size. Your feet will swell and you'll get a cold sore every time you drink from it. Your teeth will turn yellow and crack. Your hair will turn gray and fall out. You'll sprout a black mustache and chin hairs. The next time you find an item on a cruise, do the honorable thing and turn it in to lost and found and I might consider lifting the curse. I blame myself for being so stupid when I left it unattended for 5 minutes. I used to have trust in my fellow cruisers, never again. I'm having the new one engraved with "STOLEN FROM (my name)" and it will never get to enjoy cruising! Someone stole my beautiful knitted cap on an Alaskan cruise. I hope they go bald.:D

Texasopa Posted August 9, 2016 #67 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Get an Ozark Trail tumbler from Walmart, less than $10 and proven to hold ice longer than Yeti's or any other. You need to order online, as they go VERY quick when they go on the shelf at Walmart. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-30-Ounce-Double-Wall-Vacuum-Sealed-Tumbler/49772708
stevemary32 Posted August 9, 2016 #68 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Watch the yeti vs Ozark on youtube. The 30 oz yeti is about $40 and the Ozark at Wal Mart is $10. They performed virtually the same. Ice lasted the same amount of time. They also compared the cozies which kept the drinks the same temperature.

Then they stay behind in the room so I only have to pack them once.
sheeniwoo Posted August 9, 2016 #70 Share Posted August 9, 2016 I contemplated taking my Yeti but for this simple reason I decided against it. I'd be PO'd to have something I worked hard for taken like that. Sorry this happen to you :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
