Rare Essiesmom Posted May 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2016 Welcome to Cruise Critic. there is a wealth of information here, but I will give it a start. 9118 is a connecting cabin, so of the deck 9 cabins, that would be my last choice. 9128, 9132 and 9134 are standard balcony cabins in Fantastica class that also have tubs. 12219 is a much smaller balcony cabin with smaller balcony, 12146 is a much better option. Perhaps Skier52 will be along soon to give further opinions...EM

( 168 sq. ft. living area: 24 sq. ft. bathroom) with a balcony of 42 sq. ft. 12219 is 148 sq. ft. (124 living area; 24 sq. ft. bathroom) balcony 34 sq. ft. 12146 (and 12219 for that matter) has a full 180 degree field of view. The others , by virtue of being in the recessed area, will have smaller fields of view, but not too limited as they are a reasonable distance from the hump wall. MY order of desirability is 1st: 12146 2nd = 9128; 9132; 9134 5th 9118 (no bath and has a connecting door) and a long way behind 12219 (it's very small) Pete Edited May 5, 2016 by Skier52

Skier52 Posted May 9, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Pete- any thoughts on 11011? We like the front! :) Yes, it has a "steel" "in hull" balcony, other than that it is a standard cabin 192 sq. ft. (168 living area; 24 bathroom) balcony 42 sq. ft. Pete

Pete Hi Pete! You helped me with my first room 10014 which was forward with steel hull balcony on the Divina. My TA was able to move us more mid-ship as my 11 year old tends to get seasick a 10112. She said it was a better room. I imagine they are the same, other than location. Did I make a mistake? Thank you yet again!!

Thank you yet again!! Both are standard balcony rooms 10112 is slap bang in the middle of the recessed area , the best place in the recess, the views will be the largest field of view (~165 degrees) in the recess and best for having the minimum movement. the only better ,mid-ships, cabins on deck 10 are on the central hump these are numbers Starboard :- 10142/44/46/48/50/52/54 port side10157/59/61/63/65/67/69. this is because they have full 180 degree views. The lower the number the better from a movement point of view. So the field of view is good and the movement minimized, go for 10112 It has a plexiglass balcony Pete Edited May 9, 2016 by Skier52

Zellchat Posted May 10, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Hi Skier52, What information do you have on Divina 12059? Would you recommend a different cabin in the Aurea Balcony selection?
Skier52 Posted May 10, 2016 #13 Share Posted May 10, 2016 (edited) Hi Skier52, What information do you have on Divina 12059? Would you recommend a different cabin in the Aurea Balcony selection? I think that cabin is fine, the only observation I would make is that it is next to the lift entrance to the lift lobby. This may be considered a good thing for ease of access without long walks , particularly if you have mobility issues. Counter to this idea is that there could be more noise from inconsiderate guests as there is more footfall past the door. So that is down to your personal likes/dislikes. Remembering that you can get noise outside any cabin door. It's a standard balcony cabin 192 sq. ft. ( 168 living area; 24 bathroom) with a 42 sq. ft. balcony. No overhang to worry about. Hope this helps Pete Edited May 10, 2016 by Skier52
