Casino on Alaskan cruise

I'll be on an Alaskan cruise this summer and I heard that the casino is not open the majority of the time because were not in international waters is this true or false.

Pretty sure it was open last year when we were at sea and not in port. I don't do casinos so I'm not 100%, but it sounded (and smelled thanks to the nasty cigarettes) like it was whenever we were sailing.

On our Celebrity Alaskan cruise last May, it was open as much as it is on a Caribbean Cruise. It was usually open when we weren't in port. The best thing is on Celebrity it IS smoke free.

False. I just happened to have my Compasses on hand from our August/15 Radiance sailing. The Casino was open at 9:00 am on both sea days and after departure on port days.

If you are leaving from Seattle, the ship leaves around 4pm. The casino will open around 7:30pm. The ship is far from being international waters.
