mzloolue Posted May 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2016 We were on Triumph starboard aft. We got on early and there were a lot of cabins that were not ready with the doors open when we went to ours. We noticed one that, instead of the usual orange carpet, had a light colored carpet with a repeating lion design. It looks heraldic and kind of British. Of course, we peaked in and it was not a suite. Cabin 8407. It was cool. Later we asked at the purser's desk and the two people working there had no idea of why or what it means. Anyone know? RuthlessBoss Posted May 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2016 I guess it's the cabin set aside for those who want a "roaring" good time;)
forwardcabin Posted May 7, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2016 It's the only cabin with that type of carpeting and is usually reserved for John Heald.

firemanbobswife Posted May 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Sounds cool. I would have found the room steward and asked him about it. Maybe not right then and there, but at some point. But then again, I'm not shy like that :D

sanmarcosman Posted May 8, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) Our son is a hotel GM and he showed us 3 model rooms all with different carpeting and furnishings because the owner was coming from Paris to view the rooms before deciding which remodel direction he wanted to take his hotel. It's possible that that Carnival cabin, and perhaps others, were sample carpets to be shown to the corporate beards who decide these matters what the carpeting would look like in an actual cabin. Just a thought based on real experience from the hotel industry. Edited May 8, 2016 by sanmarcosman
