flight times on debarkation day? Port arrival times?

How does Carnival assign port arrival times? I would like to get a FTTF pass but we are 10 months out so it is too early yet. Just want to get an idea on when they want first time cruisers to board.

Also, on debarkation day, what is the recommendation from Carnival for flight times at MCO? On DCL they say no flights earlier than noon, but from some of the threads I've been reading they get their passengers off the boat earlier (we were in the later group and were off by 8:40--and at 7 a huge group of people left for self debarkation).

Thanks. This is one of the problems of trying another cruise line; I don't know a lot of answers.

There is no special time for first time cruisers to board any ship. Some ports have assigned check in times but you can pick that when you make your reservation .

IF you buy FTTF then you can check in whenever you like but you will board before most other folks.

With FTTF you can also get off first if you carry off your own luggage. You can be off the ship even before the regular self debarkation folks folks leave!

I would guess that with FTTF having a plane at 11:30 would be fine.

It could be that FTTF is already sold out. We booked almost 11 months out and were able to book FTTF at the time we booked.

FTTF comes and goes so you pretty much have to check each day. They only release a certain percentage. I've gotten it anywhere from several months out to several weeks out.
