Purchasing Casino Cash

Hi All,

I'm hoping a recent cruise can answer this question.

 

When I sailed the Royal in January I pre purchased casino credits. When I boarded the ship I found the slips in my cabin and I just brought them to the casino and exchanged them for the cash. I'd like to do the same for my Regal cruise to the Baltic next month.

 

What I've read online says that the casino credit is applied to your onboard account. Is this correct? If so, can you take your card to the cashier in the casino and "cash out?"

We've always just loaded money onto our card for play in the casino. You first enter your card into the machine and set up your account using your birthdate. You choose the amount you would like to load onto your card and it is posted onto your folio.

Once your card is loaded with the amount you choose to play with for the cruise or for the day (you can load more money on your card at anytime during the cruise), you play that off or load what it left at the end of your session on a particular machine back onto your card.

Anytime during the cruise but definitely at the end of the cruise, you can go to the window and cash out what is left on your card.

 

You can always put cash into the machines but it will not spit cash or a ticket back out (unless something has changed in the last couple of months). You will have to load whatever is leftover back onto your card and take it to the casino cage to get cash.

 

We don't play at the tables so are not sure how this works.

Not speaking for FraudBroad, but I have been following this as well and I also prefer the old way. I am hoping that it was just an errant post on another thread which said that the pre-purchased casino credits are now just added to your credits on your account. Buying casino credits (in advance) as I also just did on the Royal in January allowed me to pay for them in advance, while the slips that were in the cabin when boarded allowed me to keep track of how many I used each day. This also allowed me to keep track on how many I had left each day.

 

So, I believe the question is for anyone that has pre-purchased casino credits since January: Are they still delivered by credit slips/coupons in your cabin, or are they now just credited to your account.

 

I, for one, much prefer the credit slip delivery because of the reasons outlined in the above paragraph.
