Power Strip

Carnival's website says the power strip must not be a surge protector. All the ones I see on Amazon are surge protectors. Any suggestions on what I need to bring?

Thanks

Here is an excellent post on the subject, with some products without surge protection:

I just picked up 2 at IKEA 2 weekends ago. They are basically just extension cords that look like a typical power strip everyone has. These just don't have surge protection built in.

The post mentioned above is a great read and really explains the why and why not's on this subject.

Hope this helps

Happy Cruising

We took this on our Carnival cruise in March. Worked great for us (although you cannot plug in a nightlight bc Carnivals plugs on the Dream were upside down).
