glee87 Posted May 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Hello, Is it possible to do both Pompeii and Almafi Coast? If so, can we hire a taxi to take us to both places? Thank you in advance!

Rare mskaufman Posted May 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2016 We did a tour that took us from Naples to Salerno in the morning. We went on a boat from Salerno to Amalfi seeing that part of the coast from water. After lunch we went to Pompeii,
hbrote Posted May 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2016 I would like to make a suggestion which is to check your "Roll Call" on this board. You should find many tours available to share with your roll call participants. We have now run three of the excursions on the roll calls and had a wonderful time with new friends. Pompeii and the Amalfi coast are not to be missed and we will be visiting again this year. Hope this helps a bit and enjoy your European cruise. cruisegal415 Posted May 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2016 There are several tour companies that offer trips to Amalfi and Pompeii. Check out Joe Bananas, Amalfi coast tours and others you can find here or on Trip Advisor. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
julieawill Posted May 13, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2016 We used SeeAmalfiCoast in 2013. We saw Pompeii in the morning, then headed to Sorrento where we had a fabulous lunch, and then Positano for a couple of hours. We were back to Naples in plenty of time for a brief walk to the Castle and Umberto Galleria (which you can see from the ship). Our guide was Marcello. We all agreed that this was our favorite tour of the entire cruise. And, it was mostly due to Marcello and his fabulous personality. Your guide must be certified at Pompeii in order to accompany you into the city. I am so glad we had Marcello rather than the audio guide; he was able to answer all of our questions, and he really brought the ruins to life. Have fun! km32937 Posted May 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2016 We toured Pompei and the Amalfi Coast from Naples on May 5th with AP Tours. We started the day at Pompei. Our tour included a guide (Pina was great) which is really necessary to understand what you're looking at as well as choosing the highlights since you will only be there for a couple of hours. We went on to Ravello and Positano. Would definitely recommend AP Tours.
