Gratuities/tipping

Of course here in Australasia, there is no-tipping,no daily grats. But of course many of us do tip.

But a little known fact, that on producing a aus or nz passport all tips, grats are immediately removed.

And again i really ask the question, why oh why are all the cruise staff happy, when they do a australian or nz cruise, when there is no tipping. Can someone answer that one.:):)And does anyone think that when you palm off a $50 or a$hungy, that that staff member goes running to put it in the bucket.Of course they do,dont they.

Well I trust what the crew wants because I don't care. I simply ask the crew if they want the auto-gratuities or cash tip at the end and I do what they want. They always want the cash with one exception who said they didn't care. Not sure what that tells you anything but it satisfied me.

You are absolutely correct to doubt anything you read on the internet. But if that is true, then neither can you trust anything in this thread.

Recently, reading cruise critic, I have learned that princess does

not have any computers onboard for passengers to use, and

that tenders are not lifeboats.

So yes, I don't trust this thread.
