Would LOVE to see some menus as well. I was going to ask for the fun times for the new 8 day southern itinerary, but, the first trip on that itinerary is not until Jun 4 I think.

Does Valor have the Hub app enabled? I had heard that this was going to happen during dry dock.

Not yet. Per John they are adding 2 ships per month and will be done by year end.

 

Hopefully they'll have it in the next 3 weeks (before we board :D )

Routine hotel maintenance

Cosmetic enhancements such as new carpeting, tile work and reupholstering in public areas

 

Lido Restaurant:

Burrito Bar and Grill removed; Comfort Kitchen added

 

RedFrog Rum Bar - located Lido Deck 9 midship, pool area

 

BlueIguana Tequila Bar - located Lido Deck 9 midship, pool area

 

Alchemy Bar - located Promenade Deck 5 aft (replaced wine bar)

 

SKYBOX Sports Bar - located on Promenade Deck 5 forward (replaced original Sports Bar)

 

Guy's Burger Joint - located Lido Deck 9 midship, pool area

 

BlueIguana Cantina - located Lido Deck 9 midship, pool area

 

Redfrog Pub - located Deck 5 midship (replaced Club O2)

 

Club O2 - located Deck 4 midship (replaced*Conference Room)

 

Internet Cafe - located Deck 5 midship (relocated from Deck 4)

 

Cherry on Top - located Promenade Deck 5 forward (replaced Special Occasions)

No, Hub App is not related to the 2.0 upgrades.

I'm also thinking of the 8 day southern. We don't sail Carnival much, but I like the itinerary.

I heard that they were going to American Table/American Feast. Anyone know if they made the change? Would like to have some variety so I'm hoping they did.

Contacted John Heald and he said the Valor will not be getting the American table in 2016. In order for them to implement the new menu they have to either put in new table tops or new tables as they will not have tablecloths. I can only assume this was not done during the dry dock.

You can watch the Valor dock and leave port on Port Canaveral webcam. It only makes you wish you were on the ship.

That is disappointing. Carnival has had the same menu for years. I was looking forward to a change.

For those just on the Valor who was the cruise director?

We were on the 1st cruise post dry dock. Ship looked great. Everything was all shiny and clean. Sorry, we didn't take any pictures.

 

No American table, just the regular menus. We thought the food was good - Enjoyed Guys and the Blue Iguana.

 

Sorry I don't have alot of info - we went to just relax and that's what we did. Shows were so so - there is still an orchestra which surprised me. Service was good in most places, a little slow in others.

 

I would definitely cruise the Valor again.

I believe his name was Chris. This was one of the few cruises that I had no idea who the cruise director was. Sorry, he just wasn't very memorable :)
