Upgrades at the pier, or onboards, possible?

DFiance' and I are booked on the Triumph 12/10, there still seems to be a bit of rooms left. Is it possible to ask for a better room if one is open when we board? I remember last year a big sign on the purser's desk saying the ship was a full sailing, no upgrades... do they cost ? or can you be moved up if the room is open. Just wondering.

More then likely you will see the sign again/. It still wont hurt to ask-- the worst can happen is youw ill be told no cabins available.

Where are you seeing availabity-- I see very little left.

Even if there are cabins available they would make you pay for the upgrade. The price would be an upgrade for the cabin not per person. Usually carnival sails with all its cabins full. When you see cabins available close to sailing alot of times they offer those to employees and the travel industry for last minute travel for really low prices. So by the time you get to the pier they are taken. Cindy
