Rare cruisemom42 Posted May 29, 2016 #26 Share Posted May 29, 2016 Don't offer both on the same cruise. Offer cruises that have either sit down or buffet dinners. I just grabbed the nearest cruise catalog for 2017 35 identical itineraries. Make some of them buffet dinners Do you really think this would be a major selling point? I can't imagine choosing one river cruise versus another simply because it offered a buffet. Itinerary, timing, cost, yes. But buffet dining?

Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted May 30, 2016 #28 Share Posted May 30, 2016 The last thing I want to do, after a long day of excursions, is queue at a buffet to get my dinner. I want to sit down, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine while my dinner is served to me, course by course.
Rare cruisemom42 Posted May 30, 2016 #29 Share Posted May 30, 2016 It would be for us & odds are nobody is unique in their preferences, so yes, there would be lots of takers So they should cater for every potential quirk? I would like to see them offer more solo-friendly pricing, and odds are that a lot of other solos would like the same. Still, I don't see them rushing to do it...
