Hydrokitty Posted June 3, 2016 #26 Share Posted June 3, 2016 I would not hesitate to book with RC if they were going where I want to go...my daughter and SIL, have sailed with us on Celebrity and most often on RC and they love it...they said RC crowd is a little younger than Celebrity and older than Carnival!! QueenGlassHalfFull Posted June 3, 2016 #27 Share Posted June 3, 2016 We had 20 cruises with HAL (2 in Alaska) when we decided to try Celebrity. HAL's more liberal smoking policy finally drove us away. We've done 3 cruises and have 2 future cruises booked on Celebrity. It's unlikely that we will return to HAL, even if they change their liberal smoking policies. Celebrity's food is better, their suite guest benefits are awesome and their ships are more lively, especially in the evening. We are in our 60's and started cruising in our early 40's. Rare MicCanberra Posted June 3, 2016 #28 Share Posted June 3, 2016 The smoking policy and the older demographic on HAL have been two of the reasons I have not yet sailed on them but the major one has been the price compared to X, Princess or Royal for the same itineraries.
