Stopped Getting Great Casino Rates

I have emailed Carnival and Michael at Carnival regarding this, however I have not rcvd any response. My husband and I have been cruising with Carnival since 2007 and have always rcvd emails/flyers in the mail on great casino rates that also came with a little free casino cash, however we are not getting these offers anymore.

We used to get these every 3-4 months. We even rcvd a free cruise offer where we only had to pay taxes, a great deal, however we just got back from vacation and unable to book at that time. We ended up booking one after the offer expired using a different casino rate offer that was not free, but still a good deal and were supposed to go last month on the Glory, but due to our work schedules we cancelled beginning of the year and rebooked for Nov using early saver because the casino rate offer was no longer valid.

It seems that we are being blacklisted because of not taking the free one and having to cancel the April one, which does not seem fair.

Has this happened to anyone else?

You're right - its not fair. Once you start receiving the offers, you should continue receiving them ad infinitum regardless of whether you take advantage of them, use and cancel them or book alternatively.

Call and request the offers to be resumed.

Same thing happened to me a couple years back. Contacted Carnival several times by phone was assured nothing was wrong. Emailed the players club several times as well. Finally got a response saying that per my request I had opted out of receiving marketing materials. I stated I had not. Regardless, they opted me back in and the offers returned.

Same thing here. I booked in Feb. a nice casino offer with funchips, good deal and am glad to have it. however, since i booked, i have not received any more offers. The players club said all offers are based on different criteria and are automatically in their system. they cannot extend offers to those not in the original offer. Last year, I booked with several other ladies on the Breeze. no offer at the time.. Later on, several people here noted they got a pack and play on the same cruise. I tried to get them to extend it to me, but said they couldn't. It was automated. I am hoping they start extending more offers to me...

Anyone here have recent offers?

This happened to me as well and I put down I'd like to receive offers both by email and regular mail now....Don't know how it ever happened because I surely didn't put down "Opt Out" 😳😳

So to the Original poster Check your VIFP info under the settings and in the marketing part make sure you ARE OPTED IN

Since I did that and of course gambled the prerequisite amount I've been getting lots of offers including the best premier offers for over the last 2 Years.....Free Ocean View and $1,000 Cash..... It's the only way we've been cruising twice a year now .......The New Premier Offers are suppose to come out tomorrow and I'll post back if I was offered it again...... CANT take this one anyway due to having one booked Oct 1st already and wanting to see what the Ultra offers will be in July ........Good Luck

I wasn't referring to a dollar amount......If you get 7,500 points in a calendar year they start sending you the premier offers

For me these are the only ones I'm interested in since they include a free cabin and Cash.....Oh and the Ultra offers , only got one of those last year and couldn't go during the times that were on it

We had to cancel an Ultra last December and a premier in January due to my husband's bout with cancer and have not received any premiers since. We are able to cruise again and are hoping to get some offers. In the past 3 or 4 yrs we were cruising Carnival 3-4 times a year and loved those premier cruises.

Where do you find "settings".

Looking also. Don't see it.

Log in to VIFP (best way is to click on your name in the banner)

Click on "My Profile" (should be there already)

Click on the "Contact Settings" tab

Make sure you are subscribed to both email and snail mail.

I play Blackjack only. I have received many premier offers up until early this year. I am currently booked on a casino offer. I emailed the players club and asked why i am not seeing any pack and play, and if i will be receiving them. he said they are automatically generated in the system based on different criteria. I asked about comps on my upcoming cruise... none before boarding. I find this weird because i have gotten some comps before with much less time and money spent in the casino than on my last cruise. Also was told that I don't get points playing blackjack, comps are based on win/loss.

Anyone that plays blackjack only here? Have you gotten points?

It is really frustrating to me that i am no longer getting offers. Perhaps because i have a cruise booked.

Any of your offers for 5 day or are they all for longer cruises?

We have gotten bounce-back offers for 7 days and all the way up to 15 day cruises...what that means is you can go up to the high end but can also book anything lees provided they have casino rooms vacant...they have a limited number per cruise.

I've never come close to any 7,500 point total even when taking 3 cruises during a 12-month period and I'm still getting Premier offers. Not great ones by any means (mine are always CP4 which are $300 cash and a discounted rate).

Have never received a Pack-and-Play offer. Have never received a bounce-back offer. I didn't even get a DOU card on Vista even though I played Roulette for 13 nights. :(

Obviously, I'm not a big spender. I don't know why I started getting Premier offers. Prior to that (a couple of years ago), I'd received just generic casino cabin fare offer a couple of times. Once I booked one of those, it seems I started receiving the Premier offers but I really don't know why and they won't really tell you. Why should they reveal their Secret Formulae for what offers they give, when they give them, and to whom they give them?

There are 2 6-day sailings showing up on the calendar. Had hoped to take one but I booked the 1/2/17 13-night Pride Journeys last week and I'm going solo. Plus, just used over two weeks PTO for Vista and pre-cruise, so I probably won't have the time or the money to do a casino sailing this fall.

If I didn't have to put down a 200% deposit, I might book one just to hold a cabin and hope I could get the time off, but my credit card is still hurting from the Vista trip and the Journeys $800 deposit!

do you play just tables? I know you can get points on slots.. but they tell me no points on table play. I have gotten pack and play, and premier offers before, my premier offers had 500 cash.. but not getting them anymore.

You have two really great cruises coming up! I have been on the Pride and love that ship.. 13 days would be great! Pride and Vista! Have fun!!!:D

You get points on table games

DOU card is 1500 for slots

200 for table

They are rated differently and not combinable

How you are rated on tables has been a mystery.

Here is what I found but not sure if accurate.

To earn the 200 required points for the DOU card it would take: $15 per hand x 16 hours

$25 per hand x 8 hours

$50 per hand x 4 hours

$100 per hand x 2 hours

This is a example to get a DOU card

I have read its 1 point on slots for every $2.50 played

What it takes to get a BB offer or pack and play is any bodys guess

So, if you play some slots and some tables, they don't combine them?

I typically play anywhere from $10 to $20 per spin at the Roulette wheel and often play for a couple of hours each day. Depends on how my luck is going.

I'd have to think I would've had plenty of table points on Vista. Maybe because it was a longer cruise they raised their threshold for qualifying for the card, but I swear I was the only person in the casino regularly who didn't have one. I even asked a hostess late in the cruise and she just shook her head after looking me up in her laptop.

They CAN combine points because they do that on the Premier cruises to see if you qualify for the Premier slot tournament. You need 2,000 combined points to qualify and although I had only about 1,000 slot points, I qualified (on all 3 of the Premier sailings I did). So somehow they're converting table time to points for that purpose. Which means they can do it for other sailings!

Whatever. Once I take this Pride Journeys cruise (and get my 25th Milestone OBC (Vista was #25)), I'm moving on to other lines unless Carnival offers something I can't get elsewhere, like the Journeys itineraries.

They might combine them after the cruise

I know on one cruise I asked the host about a DOU card

and when she looked me up she said

your almost there on both slots and table's but no DOU card yet,

I asked her and she said they don't combine them.

I almost always have a premiere offer in my VIFP

I have never used one,

I have gotten BB offers with DOU card included but only

if I did not have another cruised booked .

I here it's possible to get one with a cruise booked

but it has not been the case with us.

I really believe they make up the rules as they go.

The DOU card is 1500 points on longer cruises (7 nights or more), 1000 points on shorter cruises (5 nights or less). Not sure about 6 nights.

If you get 5000 or more points, you are supposed to automatically get the DOU card at the beginning of your next cruise.

We are having the same experience as many others. Haven't seen a pack and play in over a year. Was getting Premier offers and took one last January.

Received a BB offer from that cruise and booked the Sunshine for this July. Did receive some Premier offers but nothing else. Since we had the July cruise already booked we couldn't take advantage of the Premier offerings. Other than that nothing else. Just checked today after reading that the new Premier offers were coming out today but there was nothing there:( Am keeping fingers crossed that we at least get a BB from the July cruise.

I took a 3 day cruise in April and got a little over 1000 points and within 3 weeks I received a pack and play plus OBC. Now I'm booked on a 7 day for September.

Back in 2014 I got a little over 1900 points on a 7day and rcvd a free cruise ( taxes only) but wasn't able to book anything.

I met those required amounts. Got the dou card, steakhouse for myself and daughter, and goodies sent to our cabin. this was the 2nd best casino playing i have had, and did have premier offers a month or so before I booked this cruise. Now... notta...
