Boatingmom Posted May 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2016 Which would choose for a family of four with semi adult children (17 and 19 year old) pre cruise??
NayRN Posted May 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2016 I've stayed at both and prefer the Doubletree: The Doubletree has a much nicer pool and view, the Hyatt has much more within walking distance (restaurants, stores, Bayside, etc). If you stay at the Doubletree, the Metromover stop is close by which will get you to Bayside Marketplace.....and is free of charge.
JohninDC Posted May 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2016 Doubletree also offers some rooms with a view of the port! The bar/restaurant in the lobby of the Doubeltree is a good option for Caribbean inspired food, or walk two blocks to Bin 18 (Biscayne & 18th) for great tapas and an extensive wine and craft beer list. :D Several other local dining options in the area - Bayside is mostly chain dining options (Bubba Gumps, etc.)
