Brenda33 Posted October 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2005 I understand you can take a bus to the Radisson in Cable Beach for $1 per person each way. I also understand there is no charge to use the beach or pool and that the chairs are free. Is all this true? And, how often do the buses run back and forth? We have a short day. Cruise only there til 2 p.m. What time should be leave the Radisson to make it back in time? Thanks for all your help.
scubagirrl Posted October 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Radisson no longer allows cruiser, but you can use the pool/beach at the Wyndham or Nassau Beach Hotel located just next door to the Rad. Off season, you may get lucky. :You take the #10 bus from downtown (in front of the McDonalds). The cost is $
Brenda33 Posted October 21, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Do the Wyndham and Nassau Beach hotels allow you for free?
scubagirrl Posted October 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Sort of.. if you are descreet, bring your own towels, purchase drinks/snaks etc and don't cause a ruckus, the hotel staff looks the other way. In the event that you get a snarky staff member, the beach next to Nassua Beach hotels is public. You can hang out there .... no problem.
Brenda33 Posted October 21, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Scubagirl, So why can't u be "discreet" at the Radisson? Do they have guards or something?
scubagirrl Posted October 21, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 21, 2005 People are routinely asked for their room cards and asked to leave if they don't have it. So far, we haven't heard this happening at the other hotels. It may happen in the future, since all three hotels were purchased by the same group, but I don't think they will bother you until all the construction etc is complete. Wyndham also houses the Casino, so it' behooved them to allow non-guests.
Brenda33 Posted October 21, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted October 21, 2005 And Wyndham is within walking distance....right next door?
scubagirrl Posted October 21, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 21, 2005 Yes, Wyndham and Radisson are connected thru an indoor walkway/escalator, Nassau Beach Hotel is connected to the Wyndham by a covered walkway. It's an easy stroll between them. I recommend going thru the Wyndaham and out the back.. look to you left.. and look to your right.. and find a place that suits you. They are THAT close. dog Posted October 21, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 21, 2005 When I paid to stay at the Radisson for a week at Christmas a couple of years ago, it was an all inclusive. They gave us a room card on a cord to show for food and drinks. Why not just pay for the use of chairs/pool?
fmfdoccruiser Posted October 25, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 25, 2005 While on our last visit there to the Cable Beach area, one hotel was issueing arm bands, but I couldn't figure which one. The majority of visitors were unmarked and had "carnival" blue towels!! Also, the Wyndham towels are blue if this helps
