Port time in Livorno

We arrive in Livorno at 7:00am. Do you think we will be able to get off the ship in time to meet a private excursion by 8:00am?

Will your private excursion be able to pick you up right by the ship on the pier?

If so, very likely this will work.

 

If you have to take the shuttle to the gate, it might not.

Ships are usually cleared within 15 min of getting their gangplank in place. At that point it is just a matter of dealing with the herds trying to be among the first off the ship. You would likely be ashore by 7:30.

This is a huge working port and think it was about 10-15 minutes to the gate on the provided shuttle so 8 am looks very doable - depending on the HAL tours. The tour guide will wait if they cannot pick you up at the pier as they understand the hassles of getting off.

If you are being met by a private tour company, it is very likely that they will be able to get into the port and be waiting right off the gangplank. Most of the licensed tour companies/guides can do this. So you might ask your private tour guide if they are able to meet you at the ship. If not....we would wonder why.
