Have 3 hotel options...what do you think

[ND Cruisers too]

Hi everyone,

Well so far I have 3 different hotels booked for our pre-cruise stay. As of right now we will be coming in the evening before our cruise. There are 4 of us (2 couples). We would like to have dinner and drinks when we do arrive. Here are my options so far:

Bahia Mar Ft. Lauderdale Beach- a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

 

BEST WESTERN Plus Oceanside Inn

 

Ocean Beach Palace Hotel and Suites

 

Not sure which one to keep!!!

 

Shuttles or breakfast are not important to us....much more interested in good restaurants and bars for a Saturday night.

I would choose Bahia Mar over Best Western.

 

However, if you choose Ocean Beach Palace, 1.5 miles north is Lauderdale by the Sea, a lively area where there is a plethora of bars and restaurants (A1A & Commercial Blvd).

I really love the makeover they've done on the Best Western!

 

For me it is a tossup on the Bahia Mar and the Best Western.

It sounds like your priority is location, near bars and dining choices. For that reason, Bahia Mar is your best option.

We enjoy Bahia Mar's location. We always head to Bahia Cabana for our first couple cool drinks and fresh fish. It's a great very casual spot on the marina.

I agree, if I were to stay at Bahia (I have) I would get a marina room to be able to sit outside.

 

Also, OP these two hotels are very close to each other. Look up Sun Trolley.

Bahia cabana is a local dive! .....that we enjoy:)

 

If you stay at either hotel this place is close by.
