fixed lamps on night tables

We completed a cruise in March on the Pride. The one issue I had is the night tables. My DH & I both use a CPAP machine. There was no place to put it on the nightstand since the lamps were stationary. I finally had to pull the suitcase out from under the bed & use that for the CPAP. How has anyone else solved this issue? We still had a great cruise but that was a little weird in my opinion. This was my first cruise on Carnival. Are all the lamps attached to the tables?

My husband uses a CPAP. We sailed Pride in May and he had no trouble having it on the nightstand. It hung over the sides a little but it was very stable. Same when we sailed Breeze in February.

To answer your question, yes all lamps are attached to the tables due to movement of the ship.

I guess the CPAP is too big to fit inside that end table? The front door usually opens.

My cabinmate pulls the night standout from the wall a little, puts her machine behind the light and then pushes the stand back til everything is tight against the wall. That way she still has room on the stand for things.

That sounds doable. I will definitely try that next time we sail Carnival.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was unprepared for it so did the best I could.

I have to use the vanity stool for my fan because it won't fit on the little night table either. Just make sure it's not in the way if you have to get up during the night and stumble to the bathroom.
