Carnival Mastercard OBC Question

Hi!

 

We sail in just 19 days :) and I cashed in 20,000 points for a $200 OBC for this cruise. They ask for the name and booking number and ship when you cash it in, but then they ask for a date for it to be delivered to the stateroom? Will the credit automatically show up or do I get a certificate delivered to my room that I then have to take to guest services to apply to my account?

The two times I received credit I just had them credit my M/C account. Seems they never give the full amount for OBC. Just make sure.

The credit will automatically show up. Delivery is just when they deliver the little card to your room to say someone bought you something. If you got it for someone else as a present

I did this in April and they gave me the onboard credit the day we arrived. A card came to my room and it was handled perfectly.

One thing to be aware of. It is considered to be non refundable obc.

 

Luckily I asked on last cruise or we would have lost about $ 500.

I too, just have 'em credit my Master Card account. Works perfectly, and I don't have to worry about whether it's refundable, or not. :confused:

Double check amount of points. They told me I need 10,000 ponts for $100 off on credit card but it was 12,000 points for $100 OBC

With hindsight that is what I should have done and would do next time.

 

In any case the value of the Carnival M/C is not nearly as good as others and hardly use it anymore.
