I'm here at work while all of you are enjoying this holiday Monday.

I really wanted to chat about tipping but nobody is here to debate the issue with me. icon_wink.gif

Have a great day.

Hi Rusty!

You're right...it is a quiet Monday. I am at home today but would be happy to chat with you about tipping, or any other aspect of cruising.

Hi Everyone,

Phil, if you've taken over the power of attorney for Mr. Flagrant don't expect to be taken care of in the will. icon_eek.gif

Hi Lois icon_biggrin.gif

Nita, thanks for letting me off early today. icon_smile.gif It's 4:59 pm and I'll take the minute off to enjoy my afternoon.

Randy - if your that bored go ahead and start the discussion about tipping. What's your thoughts on the subject?

I'm sure we can get this topic going so Gary's has some entertainment before he enjoys his fabulous cruise.

Seacrest OUT!!!!!

How about the person on the thread about dining who's compromising with traveling partner by agreeing to early seating but wants to sneak into late seating a few times on a 14 night cruise. How would you tip for that? Of course the assigned table would get tips for all 14 nights but what would you do about tables you sat at for a night or two (assuming you weren't flagger and never intended to top at all)?

Hi Gailicon_smile.gif

Actually I don't think Joan was trying to "sneak in" but I understand your question.

I replied to her post on the other thread and suggested she see the Maitr'd, rather than seeing an empty seat at a table and asking them if it is available. I would not do that myself but we are all different people.

On one of my cruises, there was someone who sat with us for 3 nights I think, they then moved to another table for the rest of the cruise. I have no idea if my waiter was tipped and the other waiter (from the table they moved to)or just the 2nd waiter.

I guess these things happen more often than we realize...who knows!

Hey Philicon_smile.gif Give my love to Marti!

Hey Garry...I tried to bring up the Fun thread..A...B...but I can't find it anymore icon_eek.gif

Next up...HORIZON Sept 18th to Bermuda!
