Questions about suites on POA. Please help ASAP

I am planning on going on POA and I need to know which is the minimum suite category to get all the perks. I have been on the mega ships and they have the Haven but it's not available on POA. Are all penthouse suites getting the perks? If not then from which stateroom and up are the perks available? I was thinking about booking penthouse suites but there are many at different prices and I don't want to book one that doesn't give the perks like eating breakfast at a specialty restaurant like cagnieys, priority boarding & disembark etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Any room category starting with a "S". If there are only two of you then just price out the date and pick the cheapest "S" category if you don't have any other preferences.

ETA: The "perks" under the packages vary for POA compared to the other ships - e.g. there won't be a drinks package that includes booze.

We're booked in a suite (SC) category, I've had no information about any perks? can anyone advise, would rather not try and book something that we get for free!

When the OP posted about "perks" I think he was referring to "suite perks", the amenities that come with a booking in a suite, such as butler and concierges services. Not to be confused with "promos" offered with booking.

Usually most cabin categories must choose one or two of the promos offered, but suite categories usually get them all. The exception to this rule is the POA, which usually has a different promo offering for booking, or none at all. I believe there is a pretty good promo for Hawaii now, but it will not include things like the drinks package because of Hawaii liquor laws. Read the terms on the promo for what is offered for Hawaii.

Once you know what promo you are getting, it's easy not to duplicate. Suite "perks" include butler and concierge, priority embarkation and debarkation, priority tender tickets, daily canapés and sweets brought to the cabin, invites to suite gathering with top brass, in cabin dining from any restaurant ( fees apply for specialties unless you have the dining package ) served white tablecloth by butler, suite only breakfast and lunches in Cagneys, Butler and concierge are not in daily service charge pool and must be tipped at end of cruise. Put "suite perks" in the search bar at the top of this page and you'll find lots of info on the perks.

The current promotion for POA is:

1. Pre-Cruise Hotel Night (offered in lieu of the beverage package)

2. Free Gratuities (does not include butler or concierge)

3. Shore Excursion credit

4. Specialty Dining

But without knowing when you booked or if it was through a travel agent or not, I can't say if you got this promotion or not. Other than that, for a suite, you get these perks:

Suite Check in and waiting area at the pier

Butler service

Concierge service

Lavazza coffee maker and accoutrements

Welcome aboard flowers

Welcome aboard sparkling wine in an ice bucket

Daily canapés

Upgraded bathroom amenities (shampoo, lotion, conditioner) There will be bath gel in the shower.

Bath salts

Pillow menu (from butler)

DVD player and access to DVD menu (from butler - but decide on the first day as people typically check out a bunch of DVD's and don't return them until the end of the cruise. We usually bring our own.)

Bathrobes and slippers

Old worn out binoculars (bring your own)

Suite guest breakfast and lunch

Access to the Haven

Special theater seating for suite guests (arrange with concierge)

Early self disembarkation (through your concierge)

DO make your dining reservations for Le Bistro, Teppanyaki and Cagney's online BEFORE the cruise to avoid not getting the time you want in these restaurants. The other specialty restaurants usually have some availability.

we booked through a UK based travel agent as part of a fly/cruise/stay package.

we have been given no information other than room type/size for the cruise. slightly frustrating as your post is the most information i've had about the advantages/perks for our room type.

this will be my first cruise and my wife's first time with NCL so we're are very much naive!

You should have a letter from the concierge in your cabin on embarkation day which will outline some of the services and provide some need to know info. If you don't know or are not sure, just ask the Concierge. You will have his direct extension and you'll probably see him daily at breakfast and lunch. Our last one often made the rounds of the restaurants at night also, briefly touching base to see if we had any needs. He or she can take care of dinner and show reservations. The butler takes care of things directly related to in cabin needs and service. If you need food, you will contact him rather than call room service.

You should be directed to the Suite area when you enter the terminal. It is usually located near the entry and marked for "Suite Guests". You will probably be given your sign and sail cards there and when the ship is ready, the Concierge or your butler will escort you aboard and take you to Cagneys for lunch.

Last Nov I sailed in the Grand suite (top suite level on POA) and my brother and his family had a penthouse suite. The main perks were the same, the only differences were we got unlimited complimentary soda in our room, and we got 3 bottles of wine where they only got one.
