Go-Bucks! Posted June 27, 2016 #26 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I'm happy. Keep the same cabin, get an extra $300 OBC (we don't drink alcohol) and a second free specialty dinner. Yippee!! :D What a shock and disappointment to find out that the day of the "sale", Princess raised the price of our suite by $400 per cabin!! So even with $300 OBC and $58 in specialty dinners it wasn't worth it. Bummer! Not happy with Princess!! Bait & switch.
Go-Bucks! Posted June 27, 2016 #27 Share Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) Is this OBC per person or the two of you? And this is for your suite level, right. Yes, the OBC was $150pp for a 7 day cruise, but they raised the price of the cabin by $200pp! Yes, we're in a suite. But the only way it would have been profitable for us is if we had gotten the drink package and drank at least 3 drinks/day. The OBC option is lame. Of course they raised the cabin prices to cover the "perks." Old bait & switch trick. Edited June 27, 2016 by Go-Bucks!
mrswallace2012 Posted July 14, 2016 #28 Share Posted July 14, 2016 We purchased a drink package for a Mexican riviera cruise in Feb. and it was so worth it for us!! We did not that the drinks at the pools are not very strong ( like you could drink 5 fruity drinks and not feel a buzz) but we made it worth it with breakfast mimosas, cappuccinos, wine with dinner, martinis after dinner. We took advantage of the sip and sail promotion for a cruise in 2018, we are sooo excited! ENJOY!!:)
