packercruising Posted June 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2016 Is there a map showing mini art locations? Any other secrets we might not find during our pre-cruise preparation?
Pratique Posted June 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2016 I think the mini art is used as part of a scavenger hunt, so finding it is half of the fun. Maybe someone could compile a list though.
Hidden Minnie Posted June 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2016 I believe Guest Services has a list.....
packercruising Posted June 23, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted June 23, 2016 Thanks! Any hidden balconies or other things unique to Allure that are not advertised?
Pratique Posted June 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2016 On Deck 9 by the elevators there is a mini-balcony overlooking Central Park.
packercruising Posted June 24, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks! I heard there used to be one by the aqua theater.
Pratique Posted June 24, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks! I heard there used to be one by the aqua theater. The ones you are probably thinking of were converted into suites.
Clarea Posted June 24, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Thanks! I heard there used to be one by the aqua theater. There are still two public balconies on deck 7, near the rock climbing walls.
packercruising Posted June 24, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted June 24, 2016 The ones you are probably thinking of were converted into suites. Ah, makes sense.
Merion_Mom Posted June 24, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 24, 2016 There are still two public balconies on deck 7, near the rock climbing walls. Good spots for watching the aqua show if the seats are full.
packercruising Posted June 24, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Do you need reservations for all the shows?
Merion_Mom Posted June 24, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Do you need reservations for all the shows? Need? No. There is a standby line. But you will have to stand in it until about 10 minutes before the performance, and then scramble for any remaining seats. Making reservations just makes your life easier. :)
pharaoh Posted June 24, 2016 #13 Share Posted June 24, 2016 (edited) My experience with Allure, and one of the only things I dislike, is that you have to show up really early to everything if you want to get a good seat, even with reservations. I would say 30 minutes to 45 minutes early to anything you're really clamoring to see is a good idea. Edited June 24, 2016 by pharaoh
packercruising Posted June 24, 2016 Author #14 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Good advice! How far ahead of the cruise can we find out what the entertainment will be?
Clarea Posted June 24, 2016 #15 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Good advice! How far ahead of the cruise can we find out what the entertainment will be? Unfortunately, there is no set time. Keep checking your Cruise Planner periodically.
joeuncool Posted June 24, 2016 #16 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Is there a map showing mini art locations? Any other secrets we might not find during our pre-cruise preparation? My teenagers and I had a really good time hunting for all the mini art. The are a lot of them and sometimes you have to look around every corner to find them. Also, Sun Deck, deck 14 all the way forward. Excellent photo op and would be a good place to hang out except it is pretty windy (very windy on one day due to the weather) and they don't put the chairs out. Few people seem to go there as it is at the end of port side room hallway on deck 14.
