SailBreakaway Posted June 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2016 Curious, why is BA docked at the Pier all week in NY from Sunday 6/26 until I guess the 1st of July? Next trip is advertised leaving 7/1. Looks like all the dance lights are going like there's a party at Spice tonight (Sunday). It's rare for a ship to stay in dock, it's not making money if it's not on a trip, exception being if it's contracted in port as a hotel for a special event (Getaway at Olympics) Anyway just curious. Thanks.

Thanks. Just got off the breakaway this morning. I asked our cabin steward about it and he told me that it was a charter. If I understood him correctly he said they were going to Costa Rica
Rare mking8288 Posted June 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2016 Been asked & answered earlier - it's docked overnight & sailing tomorrow - calling on Halifax, NS on Wednesday & back to NY on Friday morning, chartered out entirely to Mass Mutual (insurance company) - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2139553&page=
