Can anyone please tell me if the TP deck 8 is noisy from the pool and buffet area on deck 9. Have to pick a room and need help?

I hope not, we have an inside II for our cruise in January. I'm not too concerned, the insides are under the pool, and we won't be in our room when the pool is being used.

der93711,

Good question! I was all set to book 8049 until I read your question and checked the deck plan. So now I have the same question and one additional--anyone stayed near here and was there noise from people waiting for the elevator?

Not to worry!! We were in 8052 on the March 8 sailing and it was fine. I was worried because our cabin under the pool deck on the Regal was VERY noisy but we were pleasantly surprised on the Tahitian. On the Polynesian night when they serve a late buffet on the pool deck we heard a bit of noise at midnight from carts when they were cleaning up but it only lasted a few minutes.

The ship is small & intimate and the people were very polite with their noise at the elevators and in the halls. You need to remember that the days are hot and full of activity so the nights end early. Not much nightlife on this ship...you're just too pooped and need to get an early start the next day to beat the heat.

Hope this helps...Kathy

That is a relief, we have 8050 booked for October and was getting a bit worried. Thanks for posting the info. icon_wink.gif

Thanks kathy,

We were going to book an AB (like you had) but our TA said the AA's were less expensive. Doesn't make sense but I figured the only "upgrade" from an AA was a full suite so it seemed ok. Then I read the whole under-the-pool issue. The AB's are under the Buffet, not the pool so do you think there's any chance that's why it was quiet?
