We are first time cruisers and just trying to get our feet wet. Doing 3 night cruise on Majesty of Seas and stopping at Nassau and Coco Bay.

What excursions or activities there are worth the money

and which are not?

We are cheapskates...I mean frugal.. Can we bring our own inflatable raft?

Towels?

thanks

There is no need to do ANY "excursions". Head to your public library...pick up a guidebook on the Bahamas, and you'll find PLENTY to do on your own in Nassau....much, much cheaper! Easy, too!

Coco Cay is the private island...unless you want to do a "watersport", like jet skis or whatever, you do NOT have to spend a penny there! Loungers are everywhere...and lunch is served on the beach! It's just like being on the ship, but on land! If you have a drink package, it works on the island...if you don't have a package, normal drink prices apply.

Yes...you can bring a blow up float!

There are Ports of Call boards here on Cruise Critic - lots of information. Coco Cay (I assume that is what you mean) is one of Royal Caribbean's private islands - it is a beach day. :D You can also look for that on the Ports of Call boards.

No need to bring towels.....those are provided by the cruiseline.

Enjoy your first cruise!
