gagirl7143 Posted July 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2016 Celebrity and Royal go to the same ports. Like most cruises you do not hug the shore and most of the time when sailing to the next port you are not in sight of land, being that you are in the shipping lanes. We encountered a lot of fog in th Bay of Finland where you might have been is sight of land. Hope this helps and as bob said you may want to address your Celebrity questions on that board. Many of us on Royal have elite or better status on Celebrity so I am sure most of us don't mind helping out. Happy sailing and you will enjoy the Baltic! Our favorite cruise after the Black Sea cruise!!
sddsddean Posted July 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2016 Obviously go across the North Sea, but you may see some gas rigs and other ships. Also the ship will be cruising between ports at night, so you won't see the land anyway! However, we had a sea day between Warnemunde and Stockholm and most of the day could see no land, but there are loads of ships, so (nearly) always something to look at. maximusas Posted July 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2016 We've done this cruise on the Eclipse. It's brilliant. Quite a few days you don't see any land, to be honest we never really noticed. The sunsets, especially out of St Petersburg were incredible!
