SteveH2508 Posted August 25, 2016 #26 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Glad to hear that there is a Cigar Lounge on the Royal. Are you allowed to smoke a pipe there, or will the Cigar Aficionados "run you out of town"....LOL Pipe smokers are at least as low down the scale of humanity (according to some CC posters) as cigar smokers, if not more so. Us cigar smokers are a really nice bunch and we will welcome any other 'outcasts' into our little haven of sanity. Fill your bowl and join us.:D BTW - bring brandy...

This is fascinating to me. I thought the world was divided into smokers and non smokers who don't get along, and now I find that even in the smoking world, there are those who look down on others based on what the smoke smells like. However that does not preclude some internecine banter between the different preferences of smokers.

So this is irony? Does Princess still allow cigarette smokers in the cigar lounge but not cigars smokers in the casino?? On my last cruise in 2012 I was extremely disappointed that no longer could we enjoy our cigars on our balconies.... So be it... Safety issue, fire hazard... Whatever!!! But when I went to the designated Cigar lounge, it was over run with cigarette smokers and cigarette smoke! And nothing ruins the pleasure of a nice cigar than to compete with cigarettes...IMHO!There where even some nice cigars that I might have purchased from princess humidor but instead I didn't get to enjoy a fine cigar for the entire 21 transatlantic cruise... I spoke with some house officer on board and had a really good discussion about this and of course he agreed I had a valid point and would pass along to the higher ups.... Quit sure nothing has changed but would be delighted if it would! Cigar lounge is for cigars......and fine libatiions!! Okay. Like I said, learn something new every day. scott4020 Posted August 26, 2016 #32 Share Posted August 26, 2016 And they do have cigars available but they are overpriced. Compared to what? I have found them to be more than reasonable compared to a land cigar bar.

It's simply that a cigarette smoke can ruin the flavor of a cigar.
