Celebrity Silhouette or Regal Princess for Caribbean?

We have cruised Princess 4 times and Celebrity once and enjoy both.

We are trying to decide between the two and both offer similar itineraries.

Would like to book an Aft Balcony.

If having shade is important than I would with princess as their aft balconies have shade where almost all of the S class ships' aft balconies are exposed. Really after that its just preference. Which one will include more of on OBC, Included beverage packages? included gratuities?

Either way its going to be amazing.

We sailed the Silhouette in January and it was wonderful! I recommend their Caribbean itinerary. The excursions were great. We also enjoyed the specialty restaurants on the ship

Have you considered looking at MSC Divina ? We are booked on Divina in October and on Silhouette in January of 2017. Divina is very reasonable for an aft balcony. We paid $1,500 for two w/ $300 obc. :D

We first sailed on Princess in 1992, Celebrity in 1994. We love the Emerald deck minis almost aft on the Ruby, but after sailing her in 2012, we have stayed with Celebrity the last 3 years.

Still trying to decide between Regal Princess and Silhouette. No

 

not a fan of the bigger ships ,and really liked Blu/ Aqua Class on Summit and Constellation. Like the idea of Aqua Class access to the steam rooms. Would probably give edge to Princess on Buffet and service . Celebrity entertainment ok ,but not great. Have heard complaints on embarkation and disembarkation on Celebrity. Was ok boarding Constellation last Jan , have priority boarding , but leaving felt like cattle
