Glory vs Splendor

I have a friend at work asking for my advice. They are looking at taking their first cruise in November. She is looking at the 7 day on the Splendor, but we noticed that the Glory has the same ports, just in different order. Which would you prefer, and why, Splendor or the Glory? I haven't been on either one. TIA

Glory has all the upgrades, Splendor does not. 1st cruise, Glory! Eric the Cruise Director is the best! Service was great. Splendor didn't get the upgrades and will be leaving for China soon. We are cruising on her in September, but when we booked, we were under the impression she would be upgraded before ours but Carnival changed their minds:(

I went on the Glory with my sisters and we loved the service, Dining the maitre D sung (well) most nights, and the ship was beautiful. I realize the staff can change not sure about the maitre D, but he was awesome.

Glory.....Splendor is ugly ship, no 2.0 upgrades and seems to have a not so nice working environment for staff...all seemed stressed and sad...loved the Glory for positive and friendly atmosphere.

 

While being on any ship is better than not cruising, Splendor is the only ship I have been on that I would not rebook.

I heard Splendor will be in for upgrades 3/2017. We sail 7/2017.

We have cruised on Glory 4 times to the eastern, western, and southern Caribbean, with a 5th coming up. The ship has the 2.0 upgrades, the crews were great and the ship is like new. We have never cruised on Splendor. The same itineries I would choose Glory.
