Buckimion Posted July 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Possibly a dumb question but... Assuming I had purchased a discounted Carnival gift card (AARP, Verizon) to use for my S&S account, can I withdraw funds in the casino or elsewhere to spend in port? I have instructions for "cashing out" my S&S account, but I just recently thought about tucking away extra for expenses...and the free 10% bonus doesn't hurt either. :D

Some people have reported having success getting cash from the kiosk or GS. If that fails, the casino trick still works (you just can't wait until you are in port, as the casino is closed). kicia Posted July 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2016 Your S&S account doesn't have to be funded by cash or gift cards to get money. As long as the account is backed by a credit card you can withdraw money through the casino with no charge. The charge will show up on your credit card as entertainment. It will be treated as any other on board purchase.

s0ccermom Posted July 21, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2016 I had several price drops on my last cruise. I used the kiosk to withdraw cash for port expenses. In fact, I withdrew several hundred out the first day. I had way more OBC than I would spend onboard.
