Ron H Posted July 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2016 How do you sign up with a cruise line to get them to notify you of last minute sales to fill in unsold cabins. From what I understand considerably savings are involved. Can I name specific departure ports? Being retired my calendar is basically empty. Thanks. Rare BlueRiband Posted July 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2016 (edited) What cruise lines interest you? Sign up to receive emails from them. Every one has a link on their web page were one can do this. Or, you can use a TA to get emails with last minute offers from him or her. (We're not allowed to name any here however.) Are you a close drive to the embarkation port or would you have to fly? Last minute air fare can eat up any savings on cruise fare. If you want to wait for late deals keep five things in mind: 1) lowest price is your first priority over and above any other consideration 2) you can accept a category guarantee 3) you can accept that the fares might instead go up or the ship sells out without any deals offered 4) you are not tied to one specific sailing date 5) airfare is not an issue. capriccio Posted July 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2016 Log into Princess.com and the first tab on the top menu is "email offers." Fill out the info and soon you'll be receiving more emails than you can keep up with :D. You can periodically check out the Last Minute Cruise Deals on the website too: https://book.princess.com/html/global/cruisedeals/last-minute-cruise-deals/#.V5bIoDX50y0. There is also a form on that screen to complete for email notices.
