Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal 1

Friends, the parking/luggage drop system is extremely user-friendly at terminal 1 because there are attendants directing you as soon as you approach the garage.

Please see the images below for the traffic flow. The garage has 3 areas - park (one floor up and higher), load (on the ground floor to the right) and drop (on the ground floor to the left).

Commercial companies load and drop passengers on the outside of the garage as you can see by the green and blue lines. These companies now have to clear a security gate where their credentials are checked.

The public driving in is shown as orange.

1. You turn left from George King Blvd at the Royal Caribbean Sign and proceed into the DROP OFF area of the garage. Attendants will direct you. You can also enter the parking area directly if you do not have bags to drop.

2. As soon as you drive into the drop area, attendants will begin to point you towards available porters (they have carts). They will check your paperwork, etc, take your luggage and direct you to the exit (follow the orange line). In time the handlers will drop your luggage on the conveyor - not something they want you to do!

3. As you exit you can either drive around the circle and back into the parking area of the garage, or you can drive off. Once parked, you walk down the stairs or take the elevator back down to the terminal entrance (near where you dropped your luggage).

Thank you everyone and Thank you SteerageJoe for the intel :). That map with direction is very helpful. We are driving from Houston the day before sailing date, staying over night at Monticello, FL. Then next day drive straight to Port Canaveral. With all the information from everyone it give us more insight and planning how to get there to the parking and terminal more smoothly because time is limited and wouldn't want to miss that deadline of checking in.

Yes it is MUCH easier to use...but obviously somehow there has been mis-information as to the conveyor. Sure would hate to see someone actually leave their luggage thinking that's the thing to do. That would be a huge BOO-BOO!!!!

Just two final pictures before moving on!

Here is the garage entrance - you either drive straight up the parking ramp, or you turn into the drop off area.

When busy you will be greeted by attendants as soon as you enter (when not busy you drive further in to meet the attendant as you U-turn to the left).

You drop your luggage with the attendants who put it on the conveyor while you drive to the exit, go around the circle and re-enter to the parking ramp.

You walk or elevator down to the glass doors to check-in after security.
