tbonephile Posted August 17, 2016 #28 Share Posted August 17, 2016 Valley wing sounds too high but what about the Garden wing vs the Ritz These are are in two completely different parts of town. It really depends on what part of town you want to stay. The Shangri-La is by Orchard road near the downtown shopping and the Ritz has the beautiful views of the Marina, although there is never really any traffic in Singapore so these two places are usually only a 15-20 min taxi ride from each other. Another option in the Marina area is the Mandarin Oriental or the Fullerton, All of them are fantastic hotels.

astera Posted August 26, 2016 #30 Share Posted August 26, 2016 Thanks everyone! They booked the cruise directly via the Azamara web site so we'll give them a call tomorrow to set up a Le Voyage number (with their status matched to Royal Caribbean). Should I set them up with a 'My Azamara' account beforehand? Or would it be better to get a Le Voyage number first? P.S. As for not wanting to go back to Royal Caribbean after Azamara... I think that could easily be the case. They tend to like small ships and their fondest memories are from Silversea. But most of the time - and even now with this Azamara cruise - it's all about the itinerary. They need to get from port A to port B at timeframe X and only Azamara came up as an option. :)

travelinjudy Posted August 27, 2016 #32 Share Posted August 27, 2016 Any feedback pro or con re the Singapore Fairmont? Hi, We have a club room booked at the Fairmont for our Nov. trip. It's a lovely hotel, excellent location and we have spent time there with other travelers who were staying there before, although we have never stayed there ourselves.
