stobe1 Posted August 3, 2016 #26 Share Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) Do they ever cancel cruises? When they change itineraries, do they normally just move your ports to different days or do they actually change the port to another port? Both are done depending on the situation. Ports may be skipped, the order of ports reversed or the ship may do a completely different itninerary. I am sure it is all dependent on ship scheduling, forecast storm track and alternate port availability among other things. hknowles35 Posted August 3, 2016 #27 Share Posted August 3, 2016 Asking for possible future reference. What do they do about excursions if they cancel one port and add another? Husband and I are leaving September 24 from Galveston going to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. This is only our second cruise and I'm a little worried about weather. Hoping not, but if they happen to cancel one of these ports and replace it can you still book an excursion in new port? Seems it would be very hectic and crowded at guest services with everyone trying to book a new excursion.

On many ships, you can book excursions directly on your tv in your room. And there is no reason to worry about the weather. There's nothing anyone can do about it so you'll just have to roll with the punches should bad weather cause delays or port cancellations or modified itineraries. hknowles35 Posted August 3, 2016 #29 Share Posted August 3, 2016 Thank you!! I did not know you could book them on the TV. I know we will have an amazing time no matter what , LOVED our first cruise, but just something I will keep my eye on when it gets closer. Thanks again!!
