Adventure coming to Norway

Today in the local paper there was a list of wich cruise ships would visit Stavanger Norway this summer. It says that 2. September Adventure of the seas will be in port. I thought she was "always" in the carribean!

We Are a group of friends travelling with her from San Juan in easter, so we til thought it would be fun going down to our local port to see her. We can sit in a nice local restaurant and look forward to travelling with her while she leaves the port. Should be fun!

Never occurred to me that there might be some good cruises in Scandinavia. Anything good? I'm in Norway and Denmark often, usually go skiing in Norway every year.... maybe a summer cruise would be fun. We have so much family in Denmark, would be easy for them to join us that way. Plus, flights from Fort Lauderdale, round trip, $400... can't beat it.

 

Have you guys done any cruises in the area? Generally pretty good?

There's a 12 day Baltic Sea that I planning to do that travels through Denmark (I think it starts in Denmark actually), and visits Russia, Estonia, Norway, Sweden and Amsterdam...if I'm remembering correctly. I think the ship is smaller though, the Vision of the Seas. If the Navigator is going over there that would be awesome. Sign me up!!

Navigator's doing a Fjords cruise departing August 28th from Southampton this year but unfortunately she's not doing any next year.

We will be in Stavenger on August 22, 2016 onboard the Serenade OTS, as a port of call on a Fjords cruise which leaves Copenhagen on August 20.

That's a great deal. What airline is that with? Wished I could fine something like that going to Australia.

Norwegian Air Shuttle. Direct flights from Fort Lauderdale to Oslo and Copenhagen. Brand new Dreamliner aircraft too. Done the flight many times and it's a fantastic bargain.

 

Good to hear about cruises out of Copenhagen, funny that it hasn't occurred to me. I may see what might be available next summer. Just looked it up and it seems like we have Serenade and Vision serving CPH next summer. Hmmmm.... decisions!
