transportation from Seattle airport to pier

Recommended Posts

Looking for suggestions for transportation from Seattle airport to pier for two people. We would have four bags so not sure a cab would be such a good idea. Perhaps a shuttle service? Sailing with Royal Caribbean so booking with them is also a consideration except our return flight falls into their category of "too early" to assure that we would make our flight. So, something besides the cruise line.

If you look on the West Coast Departures board, here:

where Seattle is extensively covered, you will see you have a few choices. Light rail is doable, but it requires you to lug your bags, and would not be recommended if time is an issue. Cabs work fine, as does Uber. Town cars are very commonly recommended, and they are larger, so your number of bags won't be an issue.

RCCL uses the Smith Cove Pier 91 dock which is 2-3 miles north of downtown. So the Link light rail is not a good option since a taxi would be required anyway from downtown.

Seattle Shuttle Express will take you direct to pier 91 for $44/pp. A taxis would be around $60 total (shared so $30/pp + tip) and just make sure the dispatcher knows the need for a van and the luggage will not be an issue.

For the return though the extra cost for Shuttle Express might be worth it on a tight schedule to have it reserved and waiting. They always ask for the flight time and schedule pick up accordingly - or tell you it's too tight a schedule.

Our last 3 trips to Seattle we have used Already There Town Car Service. They are punctual, professional and friendly.. Their rate was $45 from airport to downtown, which is just a little more than a cab, but the service and comfort provided is worth it. I highly recommend them.
