RuthlessBoss Posted August 4, 2016 #28 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Looks like Mahogany Bay did ok. http://www.kroooz-cams.com/portcams/caribbean/roatan.php But there's no one there along with the fact it's brick and buildings new.;) Likely the water isn't agreeable to let ships back in. Juniorjr Posted August 4, 2016 #29 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Any idea how Harvest Key and Little French Key made out. Hope it did not set the opening date back on Harvest Key. Really looking forward to that stop. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Working 2 cruise again Posted August 5, 2016 #31 Share Posted August 5, 2016 After looking at the picture of Belize and the damage they are lucky but there is still a good bit of damage. Lots of power outages, flooding and wind damage. It will take them a while to clean everything up. I don't know when they will open back up for cruise ships. Rare crewsweeper Posted August 5, 2016 #32 Share Posted August 5, 2016 I have 3 emails out to 3 different vendors in Belize. Nothing back yet but I'm guessing the power outage is affecting them. One reports says it'll be 36 hours:eek: I think Roatan was on the south side of the storm and probably just got rain but not as much as Belize which is further north and was directly in the path with Belize City on the north east side of the storm which usually has the most rain and winds. Since bot ports in Roatan, and LFK are on the south side and somewhat shielded by the hills there, I'd hazard to guess that they are all okay. Harvest Caye is man made and low in the water. So it's completion date may or may not be affected. Its location was closer to the main track. But the storm went through relatively quickly so it's possible that once it dries out a bit, things will continue as before. However, there is a band of rain but not a TS heading toward Belize today or tomorrow.
