Boston to NY Bus?

Amtrak from Boston to New York might be an option to consider. The train will leave you at Penn Station, which is a short cab ride to the pier.

 

We live in Massachusetts, and have done this for a few cruises out of New York. Easy Peasy.

 

We always take Amtrak from Springfield to Penn Station. It's a much more comfortable ride then taking the bus and is previously posted a quick cab ride to the pier

FWIW, we are driving from the Berkshires to NYC the night before and staying at a hotel that has a shuttle to the port and we can park our car there for the week for just short of $300. To park at the port would be $280.

If you are nervous about just driving and parking in NYC, don't be. It's really a fairly easy trip in, and parking is very easy.

 

 

Absolutely correct

 

 

Driving in NYC could not be any easier than driving to the pier just make sure you check out an actual map first and map out a route that connects to parkways at the ny/ct border

 

Hutch to cross county to Henry Hudson is the way to go and you can even do the Wilbur cross to the Merritt to the hutch or some variation there of

 

No trucks and an easy ride

You can take Amtrak out of the 128 Station and park there for $10.00/day. Short cab ride to the pier from Penn. And as another poster stated, the drive is easy...just use the app "Waze" and it'll take you over the parkways with little traffic!

I hate Amtrak. Been stuck on it many times. Cold and dirty. Not worth the money. Have even been evacuated from a train and dumped in New Haven. We will take the bus the day before and stay over.
