Taxi in Fira for the day?

Hi, I am wondering if anybody has hired a taxi in Fira for 5 to 7 hours to explore Santorini. We are arriving Oct. 5th and do not want a group tour...there are only 3 of us so a private tour seemed expensive ($200 each for 4 hours) and we are looking for a more economical way to see more than just OLA on the bus.

I've heard there are taxis near the bus station...can anyone confirm this and does anybody know the prices?

It is inexpensive to rent a car and tour around Santorini at your leisure. Tony's is the company we use and is also highly recommended by other people on this forum.

Used Tony's I'm May. Worked out great. Around 40 euro for a nice, but small, car with automatic transmission.
