camper49 Posted August 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2016 There is a meal plan offered for our land part of our Alaska cruise. Has anyone used this plan?
Budget Queen Posted August 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2016 Ask the booking agent what is available for your specific tour. But, with any "meal" plan, the selection is very limited on where you eat. My suggestion is to consider what your style is, and if you want your meals at "fixed" locations. With this option, you likely won't want to consider eating elsewhere, so perhaps compare reviews of other eateries and signature dishes you may have wanted to include? I know, I have my "food route" with my favorites in Alaska, and enjoy, trying new opportunites.
mapleleaves Posted August 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2016 There are menus for each of the Princess Lodge restaurants on-line. Look at the prices and see if the plan is a good value based on your eating habits. ie do you enjoy a big b'fast every day or would you be happy with a muffin and coffee. If this is a connoisseur tour ? If so there are a couple of good trip reports in the 2016 list. They include comments and photos about the meals. https://www.princesslodges.com/
Northern Aurora Posted August 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I wonder what cruise line the OP is using. Once they determine which hotels the cruisetour will be using they should be able to just google the hotels to find the menus. Most restaurants in Alaska have their menus posted on their websites.
