Tralfie Posted August 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2016 Odd question, but does Beef Wellington happen to be served any night? I've never had it and as a viewer of Hell's Kitchen (don't judge me! LOL), whenever they've made it, it looks delish. They had it one night on the NCL Breakaway, but I wasn't in the MDR that night. Richard I know Beef Wellington is on the 8-day American Table menu, but I'm not sure about the 7-day (or 5-day, etc.).
MissCruiseAddict Posted August 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2016 I really liked the Mahi Mahi that was served on the first night. One night on the port of call section there was these beef skewers that were EXCELLENT. But you won't see them on the menu. Triumph goes to Mexico and when I saw them on the menu we were sailing southern Caribbean
bury me at sea Posted August 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 22, 2016 As a rule I prefer the appetizers over the entrees. The prime rib was quite good on our recent cruise, as was the lobster. The beef carpaccio in the MDR was very nearly as good as that served in the steakhouse. The fried oysters were quite nice.
dfmeeks Posted August 22, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) Does anyone have the 5 day Triumph menus? Or, can you direct me to a site that shows them? We're booked on the 12/5/16 cruise. Thank you!! Edited August 22, 2016 by dfmeeks

tamirpr Posted August 23, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 23, 2016 I'm a little nervous. I just found out the Valor is going to get the American Table menus for our sailing in a month. I'm allergic to seafood. Looking at the menus on Zydeco's site, it looks like it's heavy on seafood. One day out of seven appetizers, five had seafood. I hope I'm not stuck with grilled chicken every day. :(

I am sure you probably already know, but please advise Carnival before your cruise and again when you board/go to dining room, and make sure they know you are allergic to seafood. I think they have a very good rep for working with food allergies and sensitivities. Enjoy the Valor!

Macklovin38 Posted August 23, 2016 Author #19 Share Posted August 23, 2016 I'm nervous about the menu. I just really had my favorites with the old menu and I have to admit, I don't want to change! However, I'm going to have a positive attitude and I'm sure I'll find something that I can fall in love with. isaiahsnana Posted August 23, 2016 #20 Share Posted August 23, 2016 I second the cornmeal crusted chicken. I didn't order it but a tablemate did and the rest of us regretted not making the same choice. I love bitter and blanc, but alas it is only on 8 day cruises now, but I had the Banana Bread Pudding - it was really a cake with that delicious creme anglaise "gravy" to pour over the warm cake - it was a great substitute.
