123sunnydays Posted August 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2016 We are cruising on the Continental Passage with Oceania. On Dec7 we disembark in Rio at 8am and our plane for the states leaves at 11 pm. Is their anyone else in this situation who can suggest what to do for the day a nd possibly share ideas or a driver?
ccastner Posted August 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2016 Your ship might offer an excursion with transfer to the airport. That might be easiest solution. Otherwise, see if you can get to a hotel for a day. The big ones on Copa and ipanema, not the small cheap ones. You might be able to book a tour thru a hotel. You can also Google tour providers and build your own tour Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare LHT28 Posted August 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2016 you could ask on the South American forum pretty sure people have done this before http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76 Find the Roll call for your sailing where you can meet some of your ship mate & discuss tours etc.. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=420 look for the ship then look for your sailing date also check the Oceania forum I am sure you will have more questions ;) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
123sunnydays Posted August 25, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Already checked with Oceania. They do not provide anything. We are thinking about reserving a room for a day and a tour. Thank you for the input. This is our first cruise.
Host Walt Posted August 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2016 May be a lousy suggestion, but give Windstar Cruises a call and see what they suggest. They start and end a large number of cruises at Copa.
