mistyinca Posted August 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Can a cruise that is fully paid for on Early saver (but before payoff date) have a name swapped out? is there a penalty? Thanks,

Zoey Posted August 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2016 I had to do it under ES a few years ago. It was easy enough and, as Shof stated, the cost was $50.
poobears Posted August 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Unfortunately everything under ES costs money except upgrading. Best thing to do with ES is not put in any names on the cruise docs until the last minute when you have to. That way if things change there's nothing you have to change online. Schoifmom Posted August 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2016 ES rules say no name changes. I wish you luck finding someone who will do that for you.
DaytonCruiser Posted August 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2016 ES rules say no name changes. I wish you luck finding someone who will do that for you. Carnival is very inconsistent in their rules, I have done name changes with ES a few times over the years.
ItsAllAboutTheSass Posted August 25, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2016 What about changing last names? Same cruiser but my girlfriend will have her maiden name back by the time we cruise and all her official docs will be in that name as well
Schoifmom Posted August 25, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 25, 2016 Carnival is very inconsistent in their rules, I have done name changes with ES a few times over the years. That's why I wished OP luck. I hope that it works out for them.
FloridaMommyof3 Posted August 25, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 25, 2016 I was able to do a name change with ES last year. I was unable to do a planned cruise with my boys and put my mom's name in my place. It cost $50.
seattleny Posted August 26, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 26, 2016 I was informed yesterday that no name changes allowed under ES.
ray98 Posted August 26, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 26, 2016 You can only hope for the best because the restrictions don't allow for name changes.

AdGuyMG Posted August 26, 2016 #13 Share Posted August 26, 2016 Can a cruise that is fully paid for on Early saver (but before payoff date) have a name swapped out? is there a penalty? Thanks, In your case, with a complete change of the 2nd passenger, the penalty will be equal to the amount of the deposit. If for example it was a 7 day cruise with a $250 deposit, a $50 fee will be assessed and a $200 Future Cruise Credit will be issued in the name on the credit card used for the deposit. This FCC is good for 2 years and can not be used on your current sailing. You will then have to pay in full the current prevailing rate for the 2nd passenger. Stinger-pr Posted August 26, 2016 #14 Share Posted August 26, 2016 With so many varied accounts and stories here, you'd be better off calling Carnival directly and stating your case. If the person on the phone can't help, call back a few times. Some reps are more flexible than others, for some odd reason.
