scorpioncrawl Posted August 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2016 We just booked our cruise on the Escape for Oct. 29, 2016 sail. After reading many posts, it seems you now have to sign up for shows? You do not just "Show Up" for the time you want to see the shows like we have ALWAYS done in the past? It's been only 2 1/2 yrs since we last cruised, has it changed that much?!
FirePolice16NJ Posted August 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2016 they have sign ups ahead of time though only for a block of seats then sign ups once on the ship. depends on the show though. most you can still try walk ups but may or may not get a seat. Sand and Seas Posted August 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2016 For the major shows, they will have a wait line that opens up about 10 minutes before the show starts. A section of seats that they have saved for Haven guest will be opened to everyone at that time. From what I have seen there is an excellent chance of getting seats for the 2nd show of the evening. Although many might have reserved the 2nd show, I think some people just don't make it to that showing. Perhaps they are just too tired after the days shore excursions....or too many beverages:cool:
SNJCruisers Posted August 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) The Brat Pack and After Midnight shows are at 700 and 1000 for two nights each in the large main showroom. You can reserve them ahead of time at the 90 day mark or at 100 days if staying in the Haven. The supper club shows such as Frankie Valli tribute or short term performers such as a magician or ventriloquist and the comedy shows in Headliners cannot be reserved until you get on board. These shows will all sell out reservation wise during the afternoon of embarkation day. There is a stand by line that lets people in 10 minutes prior to Showtime. You can thank the Oasis and the Allure for this procedure that NCL has now implemented on the Escape. MikeBTN Posted August 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2016 The only ones you really need to sign up for are the comedy shows, and even then the late show usually has standby seating available. The free Supper Club shows must be booked on board, I believe, but seats go quickly.
Warm Breezes Posted August 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2016 We just booked our cruise on the Escape for Oct. 29, 2016 sail. It's been only 2 1/2 yrs since we last cruised, has it changed that much?! It depends on which ships you cruise. On NCL, all the ships EPIC and after are designed in a way that makes reservations a must due to the smaller venues and more passengers. Looking at your cruising history this is your first time on one of these ships. All other ships in NCL's fleet are as you remember.
