Ships Time in Europe

We are sailing on the Vista out of Barcelona on Sept 3. Does the ship stay on Barcelona time during the entire cruise? Or when in Greece ports does it change one hour back? I know how they often stay on local port time in the Caribbean, does it work the same in Europe? Just curious regarding times for booking private excursions in Crete and Rhodes.

The ship does stay on Barcelona time. Even in Greece, where the time was an hour ahead, we were told to abide by ship time. It got a bit confusing for everyone.

We did the Barcelona to Athens route on June 11 and did the "spring ahead " on Naples night going into sea day. This out is on Greece time for the remainder of the cruise. It was noted in the Funtimes to do this and there were announcements.

We sailed the 12 night Aug Barcelona to Barcelona so the only port was Corfu that was in a different time line, Carnival opted to keep us on ships time which I think may have been a little confusing for some, however the alternative to change the clocks over night then back again the following night would have been more annoying.

 

I think as your doing Barcelona - Athens they will change the times On the night you enter Greek waters.

Thanks everyone. Guess I will go with two out of three. We booked a car rental in Rhodes based on local time=ships time. Worst case, the time we booked for will be when the ship docks. The rental company knows we are arriving on the Vista and are doing a port pickup. So I suspect we will have no issues.
